2005 IMFO Conference Cape Town
This years Institute of Municipal Financial Officers meeting takes place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from the 15th to 17th of August 2005. TAT i-Chain will be exhibiting our exciting range of products and services on Stand 5B during this time, so come around for a chat with our friendly staff.

AssetWare deployed at the UIF
TAT i-Chain completed a full system installation, reconciliation and training of the AssetWare asset management system for the Unemployment Insurance Fund’s head offices in Pretoria. Over 10,000 assets were tagged, captured, reconciled and implemented into a fully trained up installation in less than 5 weeks! A full case study will be published shortly.

TAT i-Chain looks after our SA Cultural Heritage
The Department of Arts and Culture needed an asset management system that could track not only valuable heritage items, but simpler moveable and fixed assets as well. TAT i-Chain was chosen as the vendor of choice for this task, and our AssetWare installation now looks after 5 D.A.C. buildings in Gauteng and Cape Town.

New Products

RFID Battery Tag Outperforms Competitors
I-Chain’s BatteryTag, an RFID linear tag designed specifically for South African mining conditions for the tracking of miners’ cap lams (and the miners themselves!), is going from strength to strength. Current deployment of some 50,000 tags makes it the most successful RFID BatteryTag available, so much so that battery, safety pack and GDI manufacturers are looking at embedding TAT i-Chain’s tag as a product enhancement in all their goods…

AssetWare V.4 Ready To Launch!
Near the end of 2005, TAT i-Chain will be bringing the latest version of AssetWare to South African asset managers – just when you thought it couldn’t get easier, more powerful or compliant - watch this space!
